THE PLACE OF INFORMATION (4)
                The truth is that it is not just being informed that matters but being informed with the right information. I would have been wallowing in pain each time I went for lectures because I was wrongly informed. It is true I had some information about how the shuttle services in my school operate but that information was not the right one. Quality information is the cure to sweatless achievements. The more the quality of the information you possess are, the higher the tendency of a sweatless pursuit. Go for QUALITY information!
Sometimes, getting the right information might require that you travel a long distance or engage in an inconvenient activity. This is where most people usually shy away. They see this exercise as a waste of time. They do not consider its result. They also do not consider the immense potentials inherent in it. You can do so much when you are rightly informed. In whatever vocation or endeavour you may find yourself, never cease to pursue the right information. Make it a craving because any time spent in the pursuit of the right information is never a waste; rather it is an investment for greater results. Every great accomplishment in life stems from the root of quality information.
One of the reasons why most people are wrongly informed is that they do not examine the source of their information. The quality of information is as good as its source. Do not accept anything you are told dogmatically without first examining its source. There is a popular proverb that stays, if you do not know the way ahead, ask those coming from there. The morale of this proverb is simply examining the source of your information. The reason is that your relevance to the society that you may find yourself and the impact you make are dependent on the kind of information you have. A wrong source will always produce the wrong information. No information is different from its source. Be careful of the kind of things you listen to, read and accept into your mind. This is because information can be likened to seeds while the mind can be seen as the soil. Any seed sown into the soil automatically germinates, as long as the necessary factors are prevalent. Also, when the wrong information is sown into the mind of an individual, their actions automatically will tend to be harmful.
No individual that is rightly informed will turn against their country by involving themselves in terrorism and other forms of social vices. In the same vein, no leader that is rightly informed would loot the treasury of their country and mismanage their resources; thus impoverishing its citizens.
I wish our African leaders would be informed that their followers have great faith and trust in their ability to lead them, hence looting the treasury and misappropriating public funds will only make our continent more deplorable. In the long run, there is no gain in corruption.
I wish every African (especially the youths) would be informed that leaders alone do not build nations. As followers, we have a very important role to play. Embarking on terrorism, destroying of public facilities and equipment and aiding and abetting criminal activities will lead to a more deplorable Africa. Terrorism and crime do not lead to a better society, irrespective of what their sponsors would tell you.
Rightly informed people will produce a more developed nation. We can make Africa much better than it is today if only we pursue the right information.

Americans built America;
Europeans built Europe;
Africans CAN and SHOULD build Africa.
It begins with YOU.
